LOCATION: Burgos, Ilocos Norte Philippines
Built sometime in 1892. Intended to guide fishermen and seafarers. For decades this has been the world of the lighthouse watchman and probably his son or an assistant. Little did he imagine that this tiny place would be a place for tourists and travellers after more than a hundred years. Just like us.
It was almost noon when we arrived. The place was packed with tourists. It was hard to compose my shots without much people in it. But there was something there. A “presence” I might say. Not spooky though. But I just know, there was. Some of these photos seemed to have captured it. I guess they posed right in front of me. The lighthouse was beautiful. The cape was magnificent. I am blessed to have visited it.
